98.1 WOGL LISTENER CLUB VACATION–A-DAY CONTEST RULES
NO purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chance of winning. Void where prohibited.
1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. The 98.1 Listener Club Vacation a Day Contest will begin on Monday, January 12, 2009 at approximately 7:20am ET and end on Friday, December 18, 2009 at approximately 5:00pm ET (the “Contest Period”). 98.1 WOGL reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest- including end date of contest.
b. To participate in the contest, you must become a member of the 98.1 WOGL Listener club. If you are not currently a member of the 98.1 WOGL Listener club sign up right away by either registering on line at www.wogl.com and providing your full name, complete address, birthdate, telephone number and e-mail (optional). To join online, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, date of birth and home telephone number and a valid email address in the online entry form. One Internet entry per person and one Internet entry per email address. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online serve provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
c. Once you’re signed up to be a member in the 98.1 WOGL Listener Club listen for your name to be announced every weekday during the Contest Period on 98.1 WOGL. Every weekday morning at 7:20am Ross Brittain will announce what time that day a 98.1 WOGL Listener Club member’s name will be announced. Name could be called any time during the day from 9am – 6pm. When the selected name is announced, that 98.1 WOGL listener has exactly 60 minutes from the first time his/her name is announced on-air to call 1-800-942-8998 to win. If the selected listener calls within the 60 minutes, as determined by 98.1 WOGL in its sole and absolute discretion, the listeners will win a trip for two (2) adults and two (2) children under the age of 12 to the Caribbean (upon confirmation of eligibility). (Note that destinations will change throughout the year, trips inclusions will remain the same). If the selected listener does not call within the hour then an alternate name will be selected and announced. That listener will then have 60 minutes to call 98.1 WOGL. Alternate names will continue to be selected until 5pmunless there is a winner before that time. If a winner is not found by five then there will not be a prize awarded for that day.
d. 98.1 WOGL is not responsible for entries or calls not received due to telephone service outages and delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his / her telephone call. Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, computer outages or delays or other technical glitches.
e. One winner per household and one winner per immediate family. This includes one’s parents, spouse, children and siblings.
f. For those listening to the 98.1 WOGL stream on the Internet: Please be advised that you may be listening to a delayed stream of the radio signal, which may vary depending on your computer’s memory capacity and your dial-up connection. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you turn on your radio to 98.1 WOGL to participate in this or any other call-in contest to be sure you are participating in “real time.” 98.1 WOGL assumes no responsibility for contestants not making timely phone calls to the station as a result of the delays in the Internet stream.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all 98.1 WOGL listeners who are members of the 98.1 WOGL Listener Club, are 18 years of age or older and who reside in the Delaware Valley area. Employees of WOGL, its licensee, its corporate parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising agencies, participating sponsors / promotional partners, other radio stations in the Delaware Valley area and members of their immediate families and those living in the same household are ineligible to participate or win. Subject to all federal, state and local rules and regulations. Void where prohibited.
b. Listeners are eligible to win a 98.1 WOGL contest prize valued at $600 or more only once every 120 days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
c. Entrants are also required to provide truthful information and we will reject and delete any entry (mail-in or Internet) that we discover to be false or fraudulent. WOGL will also disqualify any entry received from persons under the minimum age requirement specified for this contest and will also delete the entries received from any person under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. Prizes:
- Up to two hundred seventy (270) certificates that can be redeemed for Caribbean trips will be awarded. Trip destinations will change throughout the course of the year-long promotion. (destinations will be announced on 98.1 WOGL each time) Trip includes four (4) round trip charter air tickets via USA3000 from Philadelphia airport. All-inclusive accommodations –all inclusive is all meals, drinks (alcohol and non alcohol) tips and non-motorized water sports (refer to www.applevacations.com for the specifics on each hotel as each hotel has different activities that are included) and round trip resort transfers. Trip is for two (2) adults and two (2) children under the age of 12 for 4 nights / 5 days OR 3 nights/ 4 days depending on the prize package. Note that only 2 adults are allowed per room (for purposes of the prize package adults are considered to be anyone over the age of 12). Trip does not include flight taxes (US & Foreign departure taxes and airport user fees). Taxes are subject to change at any time including fuel surcharges. Trip does not include any Incidentals or optional excursions. Winners and travel companions are solely responsible for all applicable taxes, including, but not limited to, hotel, hospitality and airport taxes, telephone charges, meals, gratuities, transfers, spending money and any other expenses not specifically offered herein. Winners may be required to present a valid credit card upon check in at hotel to cover any incidental expenses. Other restrictions may apply. Travel companions of winner must travel with winner on the same travel itinerary. Winner and travel companions are solely responsible for obtaining mandatory travel insurance (and all forms of insurance) where applicable, and hereby acknowledge that WOGL has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Any winner of certificates will be subject to terms and conditions as set forth by the provider of the certificate. All travelers must possess required travel documents (valid US Passport is required) prior to departure. The winner will forfeit any prize or prize certificate not claimed within thirty (30) days of winning. If a prize is forfeited an alternate winner will not be selected. Blackout dates include the following – Five (5) days before and after the following holidays: New Year’s, President’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Certain hotels/resorts may also blackout winner’s requests when occupancy is at extremely high levels, at its sole discretion. The estimated retail value of each vacation package is $2500.
- Winners will be contacted by 98.1 WOGL. Winners must claim prize certificate within 30 days of winning prize. In the event that a prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior consent of the winner and therefore winner assumes the risk of its loss. 98.1 WOGL-FM is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.
- All vacations must be taken within 6 months from the date the winner is awarded the vacation. Vacation fulfillment is subject to hotel availability at the Resort. Certain restrictions may apply. Vacations may not be sold, traded, transferred, or rescheduled to dates other than as set forth above. All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g., valid government issued photo I.D.) prior to departure. All unclaimed and / or unused prize packages will remain the property of WOGL.
- There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that 98.1 WOGL may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of 98.1 WOGL management with respect to the contest are final.
b. Up to one winner per weekday will be selected during the Contest Period as described in Section 1 of the rules. Up to two hundred seventy (270) winners may be selected.
c. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
d. Winners must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within thirty (30) days of winning or prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.
5. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by 98.1 WOGL in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners and travel companion, if any, agree to have their name, voice or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest, without additional financial or other compensation and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, WOGL in its sole discretion may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold 98.1 WOGL, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest. Parent and / or legal guardian of travel companions under the age of 18 must sign the liability release.
d. 98.1 WOGL, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the 98.1 WOGL web site or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. 98.1 WOGL reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement.
f. Failure to comply with contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of 98.1 WOGL.
g. 98.1 WOGL is not responsible for any air traffic or other travel delays, cancellations, postponements, overbooking or rescheduling due to any problem beyond its control.
h. 98.1 WOGL is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest, or in the announcement of a prize.
